Similar to waterproofing your decks, waterproofing a roof is primarily to stop water running into the interior of your home.
Important things to consider when waterproofing your roof are to select a product with good durability, minimal maintenance and easy to clean. Whatever the size of your roof, there is always more than one solution to every situation in waterproofing. We have several solutions including Butylclad, EPDM Rubber membranes, and torch on membranes supplied by an array of different suppliers.
The product used will largely depend on its location, weather patterns and proximity to the beach, as well as your expectations regarding the overall finishing. Try to have a minimal number of man-made joints to reduce the chances of leaks, etc. It is also critical to have the right pitch on your roof to not only avoid water pooling but also to ensure your warranty remains valid.
Peninsula Roofing have a large variety of different textures and colours for you to choose from, so matching your home is easy. Most suppliers offer a minimum 20 year warranty on their products however some membranes may require some up keep and maintenance for the warranty to remain valid.
